Former Vice President Kamala Harris is making headlines with her upcoming memoir, 107 Days, scheduled for release on September 23rd. The book includes candid reflections on her time in office and behind-the-scenes moments that have long been rumored but never confirmed.
One of the most controversial excerpts criticizes how President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden decided to run for re-election. Harris calls it “reckless” that such a significant decision was left to them alone, writing, “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition.”
She also addresses her own challenges within the administration, writing that Biden’s team failed to understand how her success would reflect positively on the president. “None of them grasped that if I did well, he did well. My success was important for him.”
As Harris gears up for a 15-city book tour, political observers are asking whether this memoir is a closing chapter or the beginning of something new.
