Spike Lee Produced Movie 'Son of the South' to film at Tuskegee University

The historic Tuskegee University campus will be the setting in a few scenes for a Spike Lee produced movie called "Son of the South."

Filming on the campus will be April 11 and 12 with some filming on the yard between Tompkins Hall and White Hall.

The movie is based on the Bob Zellner book "The Wrong Side of Murder Creek: A White Southerner in the Freedom Movement."

Most of "Son of the South" will be shot in Montgomery as first reported in February.
