Alabama Native, Comedian Roy Wood Jr. Shooting New Sitcom in Birmingham

Comedian Roy Wood Jr., a Birmingham native, announced Friday that he is shooting a new sitcom in his home city beginning in May.

The new sitcom is called "Jefferson County: Probation" in which Wood will play a parole officer.

The sitcom will air on Comedy Central.

Currently, Roy Wood Jr. is a part of the cast for Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
