Dabo Swinney Honors Former Coach and Alabama State Football Player

Clemson Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney recognized his former coach at Alabama during his acceptance speech for the "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year Award Wednesday night.

His former coach, Woody McCorvey, is also a former Quarterback for Alabama State University from 1968 until 1972 (more about McCorvey).  McCorvey was an assistant coach at Alabama when Dabo played there. He was the first African American Offensives Coordinator in the history of the University of Alabama, according to Swinney.
